I started researching Willow's pedigree to
find out about some of the more obscure dogs on the pedigree. I have
noticed that there are some very well known dog and dog mating that produced
dogs that I could not find any information on. ERBOB'S Hooked on Country
was on of the them.
I contacted
Pat Hastings of Dogfolk Enterprises which was the dogs breeder to see
if she might have some more information about this dog. The Hastings are
AKC Judges so I then wondered about why this dog never showed or was mentioned
in an online pedigree. Below is the clipped e-mail that Ms. Hastings wrote
me:
"Wendella,
What would you like to know?
Susam's Thornbird call name was
Kate. We leased her from Janice & Joan Nicholson in Nova Scotia Canada for
her pedigree. We wanted to go back into the Old Koven's line to add to what
we already had. We owned Ch Sherlucks Drumfire (Drummer).
There were six puppies in the
litter, all black, (Drummer was red). They were all named after music:
country, rock, swing, reggae, jazz & classics.
Country's call name was Willie
Nelson and he was sold to a young couple by the name of David & Karry Bullock
in Kennewick WA in 1989. He was sold as a show prospect but they did not show
him much and he was not finished. He was a very nice dog in all respects.
The litter had very good health
and great temperaments.
